Which recording software is the best?

I want to start doing some walkthroughs and lets plays but i don't know which recording software to use. Currently i use bandicam and i like that there's little lag in the videos but im not so happy with the quality. I know about fraps and camtasia but i dont know their pros and cons.So my question is what recording software is the best to use and what are its pros and cons?
