I'm hopefully getting a MacBook Pro soon, and wanted to know what are the best softwares to use for editing video? I think there is supposed to be two, one to edit and cut the video, and another program for special effects, grading, etc. Also I'm on a PC right now with After Effects, whats a good program to use with this? What's the best video editing software for a Mac?
Premiere Pro is the best video editing software to work with After Effects, since they are made to work so well together. See this page for details of the integration between them:

Final Cut Pro is the best video editing program for Mac, but it's a little expensive. Or You may try this Video Editor for Mac, it can help you edit, join, split, trim, rotate, crop, convert and cut video, my friends recommend it to me, it's easy to use and works pretty well on my macbook pro. It also build-in many special video effects. I had made a video with it and the video got award, Strongly recommend. As I know, it build-in video code that supports almost all popular video format, even TS, MKV HD video.

Final Cut Express or Final Cut Pro (Express is a less expensive version).

I use Final Cut Express because it's sophisticated yet simple, and it has an easy-to-use interface, but still does everything I need it to do.
For basic editing on mac, Video Studio Express for Mac is a great choice: It's also free trial, so that's always niceWhat's the best video editing software for a Mac?
iMovie and FCP, i think they are the best program i've used.
