I installed software on my laptop, and the BOOT.INI file was corrupted. It would not boot up. What is the best software package to recover my laptop to the way it was before I installed the software? Price does not matter, I just want it to work, and that someone that does not know a lot about computers can run it.What is the best software to recover my laptop when it will not boot up?
I have tried three data recovery and found Nice to Recover Data for Mac is the best one. Nice to Recover Data for Mac support data recovery from HFS, HFS+, HFSX, HFS Wrapper and FAT file system volumes .What is the best software to recover my laptop when it will not boot up?
You have two options, hidden partition restore or boot disc restore.
Hidden partition restore is free but moderately difficult to use.
Disc restore price depends on OS and version, but it is easy to use.
Google "hidden partition recovery" and then your computer model for hidden partition restore.
For disc restore, buy the disc with your OS on it. Then put it in your computer and press the F key corresponding to "change boot device" and select the option that says DVDROM or CDROM. Wait for it to load. Then press disk restore and follow the instructions for the disc with the culprit software on it to a date before you installed the software.
I hope this answers your question!!!What is the best software to recover my laptop when it will not boot up?
You will need to recover the data using something like asoftech data recovery. http://www.asoftech.com/adr/
I've had to use it many times in the past but it will require that you plug that drive into another system as an external drive or slave drive and run the software from there. It will rebuild the drive and hopefully recover the files.
Good luck.data
try slax.org with a usb stick.
